The exhibition of wooden sculpture by the famous theater artist Emile Kapelyush (St. Petersburg). The author relates anthropomorphic figures of people, animals with everyday things, rough pieces of wood, thus creating a wonderful archaic and gloomy world. Gallery at Teatralnaya st.

Ruins of Utopia
An exhibition of contemporary art. Objects, sculptures, assemblages, paintings and drawings, reflecting the different ways of historical avantgarde in the twentieth century. Artists from Voronezh (Nikolay Alekseev, Ivan Gorshkov, Ilya Dolgov), Moscow (Arseny Zhilayev, Nadezhda Busheneva) and their colleagues from other cities, whose creative way somehow was connected with the Platonov land, unite to assemble a collection of their utopias. VII Platonov readings (7-9 June 2011), organised at Voronezh State Unifersity, is a scientific conference that unite experts in the field of Russian literature of the twentieth century from a number of European countries, as well as Moscow and St. Petersburg, including professor of Slavic Studies of the University of Bielefeld (Germany), Hans Gunter; University Lecturer in Russian, Doctor of Philology at Oxford University, Philip Ross Bullock; Polish literary critic, specialist in slavic studies Czeslaw Andrushko.
