The most exotic performance of the Festival and its director Jan Klata aroused a great interest of viewers

 

 

- Nowadays polish theatre occupies a unique place in the world theatrical space, - told theatre critic Alexander Vislov at the artistic meeting after the Russian premiere of  "A Piece on Mother and the Faherland". - They are not afraid to discuss difficult questions, raise them tough and provocative, and not afraid to answer them.

 

Jan Klata and his performances, which are shown not only in Poland but also in Europe and always produce the most extreme emotions. Topics of tragic irony, the events of Stalinism and the Holocaust, raised in "A Piece" do not allow the audience to remain indifferent.

- It is an antimyth. Created in contrast to all known myths, where the heroes are men, "Iliad," "Odyssey" - said the director Jan Klata. - This is an alternative story that restores fairness in the world, returning a debt to women.

On the press conference on June 11 Polish theatre again met with spectators and journalists. It was attended by Jan Klata, artistic director and director of Theatre in Wroclaw, Poland Krzysztof Mieszkowski and the representative of Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Wroclaw Dariusz Klechowski.
