"A Piece on Mother and the Fatherland", Theatre Polski, Wroclaw. Director - Jan Klata.
2500 tickets of the second Platonov festival have been already sold – it’s about 20 % of the total. Tickets for music events are on high demand now because they went on sale later.
The best-selling are the performances from the program of actual art that will be shown in Russia for the first time. These are the performances directed by the young European theatre leaders: "Miranda" by Oskaras Koršunovas Theatre based on Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and Polish "A Piece on Mother and the Fatherland" based on the novel by Bozena Keff and directed by Jan Klata. The Theatre Polski from Wroclaw has received numerous awards for this provocative "philosophical operetta". Among them - the awards for the best directing of XVII National Competition for Staging of a Contemporary Polish Play (2011) and IV International Theatre Festival Divine Comedy in Cracow (2011), as well as the Grand Prix of the XI "Depicted Reality": A Festival of Modern Plays in Zabrze (2011).
The 20 % discount on tickets for students and pensioners will be available on March 1.
