The three exhibitions are connected in the spirit that they represent those artists who worked at the same time as Andrey Platonov. The next two projects will be created especially for the festival and will be included in the “Platonov program”; they won’t be presented in exhibition halls, but will "come out" to the urban spaces to meet new viewers.

The exhibition “The storm of the Labyrinth” will present video art works from museum’s collections and personal collections of artists, based on the works and the biography of Andrey Platonov, some of them overlapping with the leitmotifs of his work. The project will include works by Polina Kanis, Mikhail Maximov, Lyubov Shmykova, Alexey Ilkaev, Uliana Podkorytova, the art group “Zer Gut” (Vladimir Seleznev, Ivan Snigirev, Evgeniy Goltsov) and other famous modern artists working with video. The exhibition will be available from June 3rd to June 16th on the 3rd floor of the new atrium hall of the Chizhov Gallery Center. Free entrance.

The installation “Platonov Is Looking at Us” by a Moscow-based artist Artyom Stefanov will be presented on Soviet Square during all the festival period. A multi-layered spatial figure, based on a photo by Andrey Platonov, will be created. Artem Stefanov disassembles the portrait into layers, thus making it a volume and full part of the three-dimensional world, and puts it into the city landscape, full of perspectives. A viewer will be able to see the whole picture or only its parts depending on the perspective and the point of view. A point of view in its literal sense plays a major role in Stefanov’s street art. The project partner is MegaFon.

Thus, the exhibition program of the festival will present all areas of visual art: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video and installation.
