In the afternoon a press conference dedicated to The Old Man and the Sea performance was held at the House of Journalists. The director, an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anatoli Vasilyev, a People’s Artist of the RSFSR Alla Demidova and the managing director of the Supporting Fund of Chekhov International Theatre Festival Karina Tsaturova shared their feeling about the festival and the Platonov Award ceremony.

In the evening the chamber ensemble Moscow Soloists performed at the Philharmonic Hall. The Opera and Ballet Theatre hosted the premiere Autobiography by the British choreographer Wayne McGregor. On the small stage of the Chamber Theatre spectators could see The Headwinds by the Italian company Is Mascareddas, for the first time ever staged in Russia.
The upper lobby of Voronezh Concert Hall hosted a meet-the-artist event with a composer Vladimir Martynov and a presentation of his book Silence As If for Half an Hour. Letters from Nefeli. One of the most beautiful venues in the Voronezh neighborhood, the Ramon Castle park, hosted the third festival open air eventwith performances by an Austrian band DelaDap and musician Anton Makarov.
