In the afternoon, the first press-conference was held in the House of Journalists featuring the artists of Compagnia Finzi Pasca – Beatriz Sayad, Rolando Tarquini – and a representative of the Pro Helvetia Swiss Arts Council Mariya Karmanovskaya. They had a discussion with journalists and told about the connection between the play La Verità and Salvador Dali as well as about the cooperation of Pro Helvetia with the Platonov Festival.
A lecture of Andrei Ustinov, a music historian and the editor-in-chief of the national newspaper Muzicalnoe Obozrenie [Music Review], was held in Voronezh State University.
Besides, two exhibitions were inaugurated in the Voronezh Regional Kramskoy Museum of Fine Arts: Fernand Léger. Poetics of Modern Times and Industrial World of Alexander Rodchenko. The first one featured paintings, graphic arts as well as arts and crafts from the collection of The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. The second one introduced the photo works of Alexander Rodchenko – the pictures taken in 1920s, from the collection of the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow.

The official opening ceremony of the festival was held in the Opera and Balley Theatre featuring the opening night of an unsual documentary project 100% Voronezh. One hundred real citizens performed on the stage to tell the audience about themselves and to discuss the questions of their concern. A discussion was held after the play, where the spectators could share their impressions and ask questions to the creators of the show – the Rimini Protokoll directors Helgard Haug and Stefan Kaegi as well as to the participants of the project.
In the meanwhile, the play La Verità of the director Daniele Finzi Pasca was performed in Voronezh Concert Hall. whereas the audience of the Koltsov Drama Theatre watched a play by Dmitriy Krymov O-y. Late love.
