This year guests of the festival can meet writers Roman Senchin and Petr Aleshkovskiy and poets Polina Barskova and Elena Fanailova, as well as visit presentations of books and magazines about Andrey Platonov. Entrance to all events of the literature programmme is free.
The traditional format of the literature programme is art sessions with writers and poets. This year the list of festival participants includes Roman Senchin, Pyotr Aleshkovsky, Elena Fanailova and Polina Barskova.
Moreover, visitors can also meet explorers of Andrey Platonov’s works. Elena Antonova will present her book “The Voronezh period of life and creative work of Andrey Platonov”. At the art session “The highest happiness of mood” German Platonov-experts Gabriele Leupold and Hans Günter will introduce the novel “The Foundation Pit” and Platonov’s biography in German as well as an edition of the Osteuropa journal dedicated exclusively to Andrey Platonov.
As in the previous years, a two-day project “Spacious Universe” will be held near the Platonov monument.
Another event in the festival’s literature programme is the Book Fair with about 150 independent publishers participating in it. The fair will be open in the Soviet Square on June 10-12. On these days the youngest guests of the Platonovfest can visit the Children’s Tent for games and master-classes.
On June 11 at the lawn near the Soviet Square there will be held a relay-reading of the Andrey Platonov’s novel “For the Future. Chronicle of the Poor”.
