"¡Que viva Mexico!" / "Long Live Mexico!" is the most famous of all the unfinished films in the history of cinema. Sergei Eisenstein, Grigori Alexandrov and Eduard Tisse were shooting it in Mexico from 1930 up to 1932. However, in full swing of shooting Joseph Stalin recalled the team, and all the shot material was left in America, since the film company held the rights for it. The film appeared in the Soviet Union several decades later, when Eisenstein and Tisse had already departed. Grigori Alexandrov finished the film “¡Que viva Mexico!” in 1979 following the plan of the 1930th.
