The literature programme of the Platonov Festival presents the events of various formats. These are the Book Fair, public readings, meetings with the writers, poetry nights and concerts.
This year the Book Fair of the Platonov Arts Festival will set the record for its duration (4 days - from the 10th up to the 13th of June) and the number of participants (more than 130 publishers from Russia and Ukraine). The stalls with the fiction and scientific literature, memoirs, biographies, books on art, history, philosophy, psychology as well as books for children will be located in the Soviet Square.
There will be Book Fair events for children in the Soviet Square with the programme of masterclasses, lectures, fascinating quizes and lessons for young readers.
Besides, there will be public readings of Andrey Platonov's story "Bread and Reading" in the Soviet Square on the 11th of June.
There will be meetings with writers as a traditional events format of the literature programme of the festival. Among the guests there are the author of the book "The Geographer Drank His Globe Away" Alexei Ivanov, the author of a number of novels and the winner of a number of awards Alexander Snegirev, a writer from Armenia, the author of the novel "The House in Which..." Mariam Petrosyan, the poet and writer from Kiev Maxim Matkovsky, a children's book writer who lives in Belarus, the author of the book "Big Little Girl" and "Sesame Street" scriptwriter Maria Bershadskaya, a famous philologist and writer Andrei Astvatsaturov.

Also the literature programme of the festival includes the presentation of the comic book "Flowers on the Ground" based on Andrey Platonov works, which was published in Voronezh in 2015, and reading of poems by poets and artists of Lianozovo group timed to the exhibition "I Live and See" which will be held in Kramskoy Museum.
The youth projects of literature programme will take place in the evenings at the art centre "Commune". These are the Musical Tour on Fedor Svarovsky Poems "Behind the Kuiper Belt" featuring Voronezh poet Rodion Prilepin and the actor Gleb Kuznetsov as well as the Poetry Readings "In Clear Language" with the participation of authors from Voronezh, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kursk and Belgorod.
