Within 12 days at various venues of Voronezh and the Voronezh region different concerts, performances, literary projects, exhibitions, workshops and events of other formats took place with participation of about 700 artists from 24 countries. The festival events were attended by more than 70 thousand spectators.
"We were very excited waiting for the fifth festival. We thought whether during this difficult year we would be able to make the forum not inferior to the previous; we were wondering if we could make further progress by developing and expanding boundaries of the festival - said Mikhail Bychkov. - Today, I think, we can say that we have largely succeeded. The festival level speaks for itself, interest of Voronezh citizens of all ages, professions, ethnicity, religion to our concerts, exhibitions, literary program, performances has a high demand. I am proud of our city because the public today, its considareation, its politeness, its friendly interest to everything new, its willingness to enter into the meaning, content, differs Voronezh from a lot of cities."
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexey Gordeev said that Platonov Festival is a major effort that begins with the completion of each new festival. A talented and professional team works upon it. The head of the region thanked the organizers of the festival, guests and spectators.

"Andrey Platonov has come back, we feel his spirit in the city, and that is why our city is full of highlights. Voronezh is a city of distinctive, beautiful people, a city of hope and love. And even if we have some problems, we believe that Voronezh is best city in the country. Saying such sad words as "Goodbye, Fifth Platonov Festival" I say with joyful expectationat the same time: "See you at the new festival in 2016". Special thanks to our Voronezh audience, most sensitive and emotional", - said Alexey Gordeev.
In the concert program of "Commonwealth Voices", which followed the closing ceremony, participated young but already renowned opera singers from five CIS countries: Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Russia. Narine Ananikyan, Saltanat Akhmetova, Andrey Zhilikhovsky, Ramiz Usmanov and Anna Aglatova accompanied by Voronezh Youth Symphony Orchestra performed arias and duets from the world of opera classics.
