On April 18th, Sunday, the “Golden Mask” Awards Ceremony was held at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre. As a result of the ceremony, two “Masks” are now in Voronezh.
Alexey Gordeev - Governor of Voronezh region and Chairman of the International Platonov Festival Board of Trustees – was awarded with Golden Mask for support of Russian theatre art.
“It is a great pleasure for me to receive this award. When I came to serve to the Voronezh region, I realized that for having more thoughtful people in our society, there should be the culture in the first flight, and the economy – next. That’s what we are doing. Let me take this opportunity to invite all of you to our wonderful Platonov Arts Festival in Voronezh. And Andrey Platonov’s quotation will be appropriate here: "There is nothing impossible - and all will come, what matters is sowing sparks of the divine - soul sparks - among people"," - said Alexey Gordeev at the award ceremony on Saturday.
