New performance in festival program!


The famous play written by Ivan Vyrypaev called "Illusions" was created for the stage of Chemnitz theatre (Germany), the premiere was in 2011. Casts of the Moscow version of the performance are Aleksandr Alyabiev, Karolina Gruszka, Cazimir Liske, Inna Sukhoretskaya. In the Voronezh Chamber Theatre the performance will be shown on 14th and 15th of June.

Ivan Vyrypaev is a playwright, director and actor. Vyrypaev’s plays have been translated into 30 languages, and successfully shown in England, France, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Canada and other countries. Ivan Vyrypaev is a scriptwriter and director of such films as “Euphoria” (Venice Film Festival, Youth Jury Award), “Oxygen” (“Kislorod”) (Best Director Award, Best Music Award at Kinotavr film festival) and “Delhi Dance” (whose premiere took place at the Rome Film Festival). Ivan has received prizes at such festivals as “New Drama”, “Golden Mask”, “Kontakt” (Poland), the “Triumph” Award, the “Texture” international film and theatre festival, the Heidelberg Stückemarkt festival of contemporary drama (Germany), and many others.

Due to the fact that tickets to the most of the theatre performances of the Platonov Festival are completely sold out long time ago the Directory of the festival made it possible to extend the festival theatre program with more shows: from March there were issued 80 additional tickets for the performance “Krepp’s Last Tape”, tickets for “Planeta LEM” (Theatre Biuro Podróży, Poland) were put on sale and now the Directory is happy to announce “Illusions” of Ivan Vyrypaev.
