Platonov Arts Festival will “sound” at Radio “Orpheus”


Millions of listeners in Europe and the whole world will have a chance to listen to the concerts of the 4th Platonov Arts Festival! It will become real with Radio “Orpheus” – the new creative partner of the Festival. “Orpheus” is a state radio station broadcasting classical music not only in Russia but also abroad.

As far as classical music (from academic genres up to avant-garde) forms the basis of Orpheus Radio station broadcasting, some events of Platonov Arts Festival have been covered previously on the air of this radio station. This year “Orpheus” is planning not only to arrange interviews with musicians, but also to record some concerts of Festival’s music programme for further broadcasting on the air.   


Mikhail Bychkov, director of Platonov Arts Festival, has already visited studio of radio “Orpheus”, on March, 27th he talked with host Nadezhda Lezina. You will soon hear this interview on the air.  

Radio “Orpheus” presents Russia in the area of classical music in UNESCO. Being a member of European Broadcasting Union, this radio station presents the best achievements of musical art for Russia, Europe and the whole world. Also “Orpheus” broadcasts performances from the best concert and opera halls among which La Scala, Covent Garden, Metropolitan Opera, Grand Opéra.
