The open air free concert of two bright modern bands which arrival Voronezh citizens have been waiting for a long time took place on the Admiralteiskaya square. Serebryanaya svadba, a pert musical and theatrical company from Belarus, and the most charismatic Moldavian group Zdob si Zdub performed on the reservoir shore.
Serebryanaya svadba cabaret band was created in 2005. The group prepares an unusual mix of French chanson, Dixieland, country, Russian folk music and Latin rhythms in the cabaret orchestra style for the audience. There are songs in Russian, French and German, ironic, paradoxical, life-affirming, with slapstick and puppet show elements in the repertoire. The cabaret band received a great ovation in Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Kiev, Warsaw, Vilnius, Paris, Vladimir, Stavropol, Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and Krasnodar. The orchestra was on tour in Germany, the Netherlands, cities of Siberia and the Urals, Ukraine, participated in music and theater festivals in Russia, Belarus, France, Poland and Germany. Founded in 1994, Zdob si Zdub band combines brutal hardcore and Moldavian folklore in a unique elegant manner that allows to name them ethno-rockers. The musicians add hip-hop, drum'n'bass, jungle, punk elements to the songs that result in an original musical crossover, a meeting of the urban bustle and rural spirit. This charismatic group leaves deep traces in the music history of the Republic of Moldova, feeling comfortable in front of every audience. Zdob si Zdub have released 9 albums, their performances were held in more than 20 European countries, at small club venues and large festivals. The group opened concerts of such world stars as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Emir Kusturica and the No Smoking Orchestra, Korn, Biohazard, Rollins Band, Rage Against The Machine, Soulfly, Garbage, Fun Lovin 'Criminals and many others. The group has won the sixth place at Eurovision-2005, the music by Zdob si Zdub has gathered a large collection of awards and honors and was highly praised by various magazines, radio stations and TV channels, including MTV Europe.
