The photo-contest dedicated to the 2nd Platonov Arts Festival is completed!

This year at the Platonov festival photo contest more than 300 photos of 25 authors were sent - almost two times more than in 2011. The Directorate of the festival selected 42 best works, which are now presented to the audience and the jury.

15 photographers have become the authors of the exhibition: Andrey Arkhipov, Dina Barinova, Denis Bychkov, Valery Gaponov, Evgeniya Emelyanova, Larisa Karpyzina, Diana Litvinova, Olga Masneva, Ivan Nenashev, Olga Padchina, Nikita Paukov, Olesya Polyakova, Igor Filonov, Oleg Kharseev and Dmitry Chushkin.

The authors of the best photos will get prizes. The members of the jury are: deputy editor of the newspaper "Voronezhskiy Kuryer" German Poltaev; member of the Union of artists of Russia, the gallery H.L.A.M. art director Sergey Gorshkov; deputy director of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after Ivan Kramskoy, Honored Worker of Culture of the Voronezh region Olga Ryabchikova; member of the Union of Photographers of Russia Mikhail Kvasov; head of the International Platonov festival Mikhail Bychkov.

The exhibition supported by the exhibition centre "VETA" and Festival partners Chizhov Gallery and Hamin’s Group of Companies was held at the Chizhov Gallery from 10th to 25th of October.

The jury of the contest chose 3 best photos.

In nomination «Festival reporting» the work of Nikita Paukov became the winner.  The jury appreciated his unusual vision of the concert in Ramon.

In nomination «Festival portrait» won Valery Gaponov with a portrait of Lev Dodin, the director of the play "Life and Fate" by Maly Drama Theater - Theater of Europe.

In nomination «Festival mise en scene» the jury chose Diana Litvinova’s photo. The jury appreciated her skill in the reflection of festival events and recognized the picture of literary evening "Boris Poplavsky. Automatic poems" best in the nomination.

The winner of the Audience Award became Larisa Karpyzina. The festival web-page visitors recognized her picture of the scene from the play "Uncle Vanya" by Moscow Vakhtangov Theatre the best.  Special prize was given by the festival partner Chizhov Gallery.

Photo contest is completed, but the exhibition devoted to Platonov Arts Festival continues. October 26th the exhibition moved to the first floor of City Park «Grad».
