The photo-exhibition of the second Platonov Arts Festival was opened on October, 10th

The photo-exhibition of the second Platonov Arts Festival was opened on October, 10th. The best works of 15 Voronezh photographers were located on the ground floor of the Chizhov Gallery. The jury of the photo contest, representatives of the Voronezh media, authors of the photos and numerous visitors of the shopping center attended the opening ceremony.

This year at the Platonov festival photo contest more than 300 photos of 25 authors were sent - almost two times more than in 2011. The Directorate of the festival selected 42 best works, which are now presented to the audience and the jury.

15 photographers have become the authors of the exhibition: Andrey Arkhipov, Dina Barinova, Denis Bychkov, Valery Gaponov, Evgeniya Emelyanova, Larisa Karpyzina, Diana Litvinova, Olga Masneva, Ivan Nenashev, Olga Padchina, Nikita Paukov, Olesya Polyakova, Igor Filonov, Oleg Kharseev and Dmitry Chushkin.

Faces of the audience and famous guests, scenes from the performances are depicted on the photos. The masters at work, and people watching at masters at work: Rezo Gabriadze, Lev Dodin, Jan Klata, Irina Zatulovskaya, Sergei Makovetsky, Hong Xu... You can also look behind the scenes and see the festival preparation or the excitement of the participants.

The head of the festival Mikhail Bychkov told that the results of the photo contest will be announced on November 1st. The jury will select the winners who managed to reflect the content, the image and the atmosphere of the festival most fully and clearly. The guests of the opening ceremony also learned that the third Platonov festival will begin on June 3rd with the unique concert at the Opera and Ballet Theatre. The first news about the festival program will be announced  in November.

Exhibition with the support of Festival partner Chizhov Gallery and exhibition company "Veta" will be on display at the Chizhov Gallery until October 26th. And after that it will move to City-Park "Grad".
